Morning Has Broken

As dawn breaks earlier and earlier every morning with the approach of spring, this photograph may induce feelings of optimism and feeling glad to be alive. As the sun broke in Edinburgh this morning, I slowly pulled back the bedroom curtains, gazed out the window and thought...

...IF I FIND THAT BLOODY BIRD THAT CHIRPED INCESSANTLY AT HALF PAST FECKING FIVE THIS MORNING, I'LL WRING ITS BLOODY NECK....

I'm going back to bed now. Have a good weekend, folks.

For some years now a pair of collared doves have snuggled up to one another very early in the morning. The loud coo coo, coo coo, which goes on and on would be perfectly acceptable if it happened in the trees way over there. However the brutes use the lamp post over the road and and unwilling to move, not even from stones and hard words!!

Reminds me of a poem...

Woke early one morning
The earth lay cool and still
When suddenly a tiny bird perched on my window sill
I pulled back the covers, crept slowly out of bed
Gently shut the window and crushed his freaking head!!
