Agreed!
What about that glorious win yesterday!!
Melissa
Aye, a fine win for the JTs! Will it last? This is Hearts after all...
Great country indeed! Well it better be, I left the good life in America to come back to my homeland!
So you think that a dignfied minutes silence would have been more appropriate at Celtic Park on Rememberance Sunday? If the Hearts fans had not abused the minutes silence to Pope John Paul the second you may have got your wishes, it was for that very reason they all stopped, slight irony in your programme comments?
Can also point out the Celtic fans singng about The Boys Of The Old Brigade etc. refers to an army fighting The British in the 1910s not the terrorists of the 70's/80's, it's hust the same as Flower Of Scotland except less sectarian. at least learn some history if you're going to write about it.
You're article was an absolute disgrace. The minute's applause was first introduced in this country because your own hearts fans would be unable to keep a dignified silence for the Pope. Did you write about this in your program slot at the time? I think not.
I'm a Celtic fan, I was at the game. Out of near 60,000 fans, only around 50-60 carried out the 'walk out protest' meaning the huge majority of Celtic fans respected the war dead appropriately.
Also, to end your 'piece' on the note that sectarian behaviour in the Hearts support is non existent, is nothing but lies.
Finally, why was there no mention of the vile banner held up by hearts fans in the match v celtic...with the sickening lying slur on Jock Stein?
Get your own house in order before making cheap innacurate digs at other fans.
Anonymous - both of you. Yes, a minute's silence would have been more appropriate. That was the point of the article. And songs glorifying the IRA may be acceptable in the east end of Glasgow - they are certainly not in Edinburgh.
Funny how the Old Firm 'fans' never say who they are? Strange how they cannot come out into the open. It is also strange how they point the finger at others while continuing sectarian abuse themselves.
The OF are Scotlands disgrace.
Time they were returned to Ireland as they appear to think that place more important than Scotland.
There are some issues concerning the Celtic support that others do not like, that is a given, what is not is the three monkeys attitude to your own support, sectarian singing, racist chants, sectarian banners, banners mocking child abuse, banners emblazoned with FTP, sit on your moral high ground if you like, others know that tynecastle is the second worst (after ibrox) in scotland for sectarian and racist chants and displays.
We will continue to sing about our heritage, you will continue to sing against it, maybe you should get your own indentity and then concentrate on that.
A lecture for Celtic from a hearts fan in a hearts match programme. Now that is good.
Why not start with problems at home? The disruption of the minutes silence for JP11 by sectarian bigoted Hearts fans. (http://tinyurl.com/6aph5)
Hearts fans singing sectarian songs (http://tinyurl.com/6zhrbo)
Sectarian chants on a train by - guess who - Hearts fans. All arrested. (http://tinyurl.com/6klqp5)
Its actually kind of funny getting a lecture on having a minute's applause from you lot.
You might post links to the Hearts match day programmes on the above when you get a chance.
What about the mnutes silence for the Pope? answer that if you can?
Your fans caused the mnutes applause to be brought in.
Just ignoring it then?
If you're willing to accuse people of certain things and then answer and confirm your point of view, please answer the question you were asked, cheers, yours in football.
